Caleb Dressel takes a break from swimming and promises to return to the sport

Caleb Dressel, the best swimmer in the world, is catching up with his fans and followers on his latest accomplishments after two months of silence (and absence from the sport).

“I haven’t swum since the World Championships and I can honestly say that I was happy without swimming,” he wrote on his Instagram page. Instagram page. “Although I do miss him,” he admitted.

Dressel went on to talk about a few things he and his wife Megan have been up to. “Finally I went on my honeymoon to Iceland, bought a tractor, walked another section of the Appalachian Trail and swam with manatees,” he shared.

“I know that I can swim and be happy. I have had them both at some point in my life and am working on it. If you need a break, take one,” he stressed.

“I’ll be back,” he promised, thus ending his post on an optimistic note.

At the 2022 World Championships in Budapest, he won two gold medals in the men’s 50m butterfly and the men’s 4 x 100m freestyle relay before retiring early for unspecified reasons (perhaps a much-needed mental health break). ). In total, he has 15 gold medals in the long distance at the level of the World Championship.

At the Olympic medal, Dressel won a total of seven gold medals in swimming. He is a proud alligator from Florida.
