R&Q Appoints Head of Claims
Hillary Jarvis

R&Q Insurance Holdings Ltd., a specialized insurance company headquartered in Bermuda, has appointed Hillary Jarvis as Chief Claims Officer for North America.

Most recently, Jarvis was Managing Director of Claims, Compliance and Strategy at Markel, where she led a team of 60 employees, R&Q said in a press release. She was responsible for compliance, business intelligence, innovation and strategic planning functions.

Prior to that, she was the chief advisor and second vice president of Travelers. She began her legal career at Pillsbury Winthrop Show Pittman and was an advisor to Steptoe & Johnson, the company said in a statement.

Jarvis reports to Andrew Pinks, CEO of an insurance company.

Son replaces father in Renfroe
Austin Renfro

The son of the founders of Renfroe, an independent claims settlement firm based in Birmingham, Alabama, has been named chief executive officer.

Austin Renfro is replacing his father, Gene Renfro, who has been with the company for the past 13 years, the company said in a press release. Jean Renfro and his wife Jana founded the company in 1994.

Austin Renfro has served as CIO, General Counsel, Vice President, and President Interim. He graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in computer science and mathematics. He received his Juris Doctor from Emory University and specialized in intellectual property law.

“After 13 years of learning the ins and outs of this business and industry, I am honored to step into this role and continue to grow this incredible company,” said Austin Renfro.

Arturo appoints new CEO
Greg Oslan

Arturo, an insurance company based in Chicago, has appointed Greg Oslan as chief executive officer.

Arturo said in a press release that Oslan is a leading market-to-exit startup in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, wealth management, and government initiatives. He has been chairman or CEO of several companies including RiskSense, which was sold to Avanti; Fixmo sold to Good Technologies; and Narus, sold to Boeing.

According to his LinkedIn page, Oslan is on the board of directors of the National Cyber ​​Security Center, a non-profit organization that promotes cyber innovation and awareness.

Arturo also appointed Joe Brown as Vice President of Sales and Service. Brown previously served as Vice President of Business Development at EagleView and CoreLogic.

Arturo provides property data to insurers for applications that include claims and underwriting.
