COPENHAGEN, Sept 21 (Reuters) – Denmark’s Queen Margrethe has tested positive for COVID-19 for the second time this year, the royal court announced on Wednesday.
The 82-year-old head of state, who has been on the throne for half a century, canceled her meetings for a week.
On Monday, she attended the funeral of Queen Elizabeth in London.
Queen Margrethe, who was vaccinated against the coronavirus, was also diagnosed with COVID-19 in February of this year, who had mild symptoms at the time. read more
A spokesman for the palace declined to comment further on Wednesday.
