Israeli President Isaac Herzog was greeted Sunday at the German Presidential Palace in Berlin for a state ceremony. He was received by President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, whom he met after the diplomatic welcome ceremony.

The Duke told reporters after their meeting, “In addition to the positive winds blowing in our region, there are also voices of terror and hatred.”

Terror does not subside for a second, the Israeli president noted, noting that just a few hours earlier, “lecherous terrorists” had attacked Israeli soldiers on a bus.

“We will not tolerate any attacks on our citizens or soldiers,” Herzog said. “The State of Israel will protect its citizens, and the IDF and our security forces will operate anywhere and anytime,” he said.

But the “forces of hatred,” he said, come “primarily from Iran.”

“Iran openly seeks the destruction of Israel, and the international community must treat it harshly, firmly and persistently. Toothless and watered-down agreements and broad benefits will not stop Iran,” he warned.

“Iran has proven that it cannot be trusted. Iran has proven to be a threat to the world order. Iran has proven that it does not hesitate to sow terror, death, and gangster behavior that threatens global stability.

“The State of Israel cannot tolerate threats to its existence,” Duke said.

“Israel will stand up and defend its citizens and Jewish communities around the world with determination and strength. We expect our allies to stand firm by our side at this hour.
