(MENAFN) Iran’s First Vice Leader Mohammad Mohber said on Sunday that several Muslim groups are joining the Arab pilgrimage and the Iraqi administration is happy to host them.

the vice leader noted that “the Arbaeen pilgrimage is the largest religious ritual in the Islamic world, unprecedented in history in terms of the number of participants and the scope of the event.”

He then noted that the Iraqi administration considers the reception of the Arbain pilgrims an honor.

He stated that “the governments of Iran and Iraq are serving Arbaeen pilgrims side by side and are cooperating cordially with each other to prepare the necessary infrastructure for the presence of millions of pilgrims in Iraq.”

Mokhber emphasized that the ministries, especially the Ministry of the Interior, and all organizations associated with them, in addition to activists and governors, have fully cooperated to facilitate the ritual of the Arbaeen walk.

However, he did mention that “deficiencies in some of the infrastructures in Iraq have created limitations”.
