Oscar nominee Patricia Clarkson has good reason to be proud. She won the 2022 Emmy Award for her incredible performance in The State of the Union.
Clarkson received the coveted Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Actress in a Short Form Comedy or Drama Series.
She outperformed fellow nominees Jacinta Blankenship of Crossing, Desi Lidik of Desi Lidik Foxplains, Rhea Seehorn of Cooper’s Bar, and Sidney Washington of Bridesman.
Clarkson played the role of Ellen alongside Brendan Gleeson, who also received a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Actor in a Short Form Comedy or Drama Series for his portrayal of Scott.
State of the Country is a short series created by Nick Hornby and directed by acclaimed director Stephen Frears. It premiered on February 14 on SundanceTV.
