BEIJING, 7 Sep. (Reuters) – China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) (601857.SS)or PetroChina, said on Wednesday it had signed an agreement with Russia’s Gazprom. (GASP.MM) in connection with the Power of Siberia gas pipeline.
The agreement, signed during a video conference between CNPC Chairman Dai Huliang and Gazprom President Alexei Miller, is an additional agreement to the China-Russia Eastern Route Natural Gas Purchase and Sale Agreement.
The eastern route is also known as the Power of Siberia gas pipeline, which began operation in 2019.
No further details are provided in the brief statement posted on the CNPC website.
