Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band Blondie, fronted by Debbie Harry, headlined The Paramount in Long Island and garnered a large following. They were able to put on an adrenaline rush show as part of their “Against Differences” tour.
They kicked off their set with “X Offender”, which was well received with a raucous response, and immediately began playing “Hanging On The Telephone” and “Sunday Girl” from their seminal album. parallel lines.
Other notable and popular songs they performed on the evening included “The Tide Is High”, live “Fade Away and Radiate” and “Rapture”. One thing is for sure, this iconic band has had no shortage of mega hits.

After “Maria”, they completed “Dreaming” and the fan-favorite “Heart of Glass”, which was juxtaposed with the Sex Pistols’ “God Save the Queen” medley.
For an encore, they performed a special version of Johnny Cash’s “Ring of Fire”, as well as her worldwide hit “Call Me” and the catchy “One Way or Another”, the journalist’s favorite tune in their catalogue. There was a feeling of nostalgia and a strange euphoria in the sacred place of Long Island.
