His American counterpart’s speech was “tough and decisive,” Polish President Andrzej Duda told a private news channel on Wednesday.

Andrzej Duda, commenting on US President Joe Biden’s speech before the UN General Assembly in New York, in which he criticized Russian President Vladimir Putin for unprovoked war, told TVN 24 news channel that this was an “adequate statement.”

He added that at the same time he was “very tough, resolute and at the same time very calmly maintained the line that was vigorously pursued.”

The Polish President also noted that he had the opportunity to briefly speak with Biden at the funeral of the British Queen Elizabeth II.

He pointed out that the United States provided the most assistance to Ukraine, and this “is of absolute fundamental importance for Ukrainian resistance to the Russian invasion today.”
