Wenbrook appoints Pippin claims director
Venbrook Group, LLC, an independent insurance, benefits, loss and risk company in the United States, announced the appointment of Louis Pippin to the position of director of claims settlement for Venbrook Claims Services.
Venbrook Claims Services offers customers a single provider option for Third Party Administrator (TPA) and Independent Adjustment (IA) claims to mitigate and mitigate risk and loss on a global basis.
With extensive experience in claims management, Pippen has almost 30 years of experience and extensive experience in P&C’s multi-line liability lines, case management, cost control, compliance with standards, and the provision of related claims and claims handling services.
Most recently at McLarens, where he spent five years developing the commercial property claims program, Pippin has also held positions at the National Insurance Fund and Midlands Claims Administrators, Inc.
In addition, Wenbrook announced four key leadership upgrades:
- Sara Novakovic becomes COO of Venbrook Claims Services
- Angelica King becomes Executive Vice President of Carl Warren & Company
- Mark Pittinaro becomes Executive Vice President of Venbrook Claims Services
- Susie Spencer becomes vice president of business development for Carl Warren & Company.
Short joins CRU GROUP
Michel Short is joining the Canadian team as Claims Technical Manager, said David Repinski, CEO of CRU GROUP.
short brings over 20 years of claims and people management experience. In her most recent role, she was Vice President of Operations, responsible for managing all adjustment teams and administrative staff in Alberta, providing guidance and ensuring compliance with internal and client policies.
As Claims Technical Manager, Short will be responsible for mentoring the claims team with client-specific processes and procedures, in particular technical requirements.
Short of Calgary, Alberta will report to Russ Fitzgerald, Senior Vice President and Director of North America Transportation Services.
Carey Named VP of Claims at MedMal Direct
MedMal Direct Insurance Company (MDIC), a Florida-based direct-to-physician medical professional liability insurance company, has appointed Stephen Carey as vice president of claims, effective immediately.
Carey’s promotion follows the recent appointment of Jeremy Leal to the position of Senior Resolution Specialist.
Carey most recently served as Assistant Vice President of Claims Resolution at MedMal Direct Insurance Company and has over 14 years of experience in handling claims in the medical professional liability area.
The company operates in nine states: Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania and Texas, offering medical professional liability insurance directly to physicians and surgeons.
